Granny square scarf
Round number Description
Start in A, 1st square.
1 ch4, ss to close
2 (ch3, counts as 1st dc, 2dc, ch3, 3dc, 3ch, 3dc, 3ch, 3dc, 3ch, ss into 3rd chain in start chain)
all inside ch4 circle in round 1. [12dc]
3 (ch3, counts as 1st dc , turn, 2dc, ch3, 3dc) all stitches into the corner stitch, ch1,
* (3dc, ch3, 3dc) all stitches into the corner stitch,* repeat around, ss into 3rd chain in start chain.
4 ch3, counts as 1st dc , turn, 2dc, ch1,
* (3dc, ch3, 3dc) all stitches into the corner stitch, ch1, 3dc, ch1,
* (3dc, ch3, 3dc) all stitches into the corner stitch,* repeat around, ss into 3rd chain in start chain.
5 ch3, counts as 1st dc , turn, 2dc, ch1,
* (3dc, ch3, 3dc) all stitches into the corner stitch, ch1, 3dc, ch1, 3dc, ch1,
* (3dc, ch3, 3dc) all stitches into the corner stitch,* repeat around, ss into 3rd chain in start chain.
6 ch3, counts as 1st dc , turn, 2dc, ch1,
* (3dc, ch3, 3dc) all stitches into the corner stitch, ch1, 3dc, ch1, 3dc, ch1, 3dc, ch1,
* (3dc, ch3, 3dc) all stitches into the corner stitch,* repeat around, ss into 3rd chain in start chain.
7 to 10 Repeat the same pattern above, increasing at the sides.
4 x squares
1 to 9 Repeat pattern above to round 9
10 Create 3 sides leaving the final side unfinished. This round will join to the first square.
On the corner stitch 3dc, ch1, ss into any corner of the first square, ch1, 3dc, ch1,
* 3dc into ch st, ss into ch space of first square,
* repeat around untill the last corner, 3dc, ch1, ss into first square, ch1, 3dc back into working corner,
Finish round,
Join all squares in a line, when finished cut off working yarn on last square.
To make front join. Fold the line of squares so that the last and first squares overlap.
With new yarn connect to the two squares by making a ch st into the first corner.
SEE photo below, start at the yellow stitch marker and finish at the blue.
* ss between 3dc from top square to the matching 3dc below, sc into ch space around top and bottom squares.
* repeat till corner, 3sc around corner joining both. continue joining top and bottom till the end of square.
Finish off and weave in all ends.

G/6, 4mm crochet hook,
Stitch markers (SM), darning needle,
STITCHES USED IN THIS PROJECT:
MC magic circle, SC single crochet, CH chain, SS slip stitch, DC double crochet
RdcB: Raised double crochet back post,
STEP ONE: Yarn over
STEP TWO: Insert the hook on the right side of the previous rounds stitch from back to front
STEP THREE: Push hook front to back into left side of previous rounds stitch.
STEP FOUR: Yarn over, pull around the stitch and draw up a loop. (3 loops on hook)
STEP FIVE: Yarn over and draw through two loops, yarn over and draw through last two loops.

Pattern details:
This crochet pattern is made using 4mm G/6 hook
3 ply dk yarn, 30g Pink,
10g each rainbow color, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple,
I used ‘So Crafty’ DK yarn by Aldi for the main pink,
Rainbow was in Quality DK brand.
US alternative: Red heart Lisa or similar

Granny square scarf crochet pattern
This is a fun and quick scarf to make up. Using simply 5 granny squares.
Embellishments could also be added for example buttons at the front.
I used one colour throughout but different coloured squares would look great.
Yarn UK, So crafty, Aldi DKARed100grams
Hook used:4mm G/6
Other supplies needed:
Stitch markers (SM), darning needle,
Stitches used in this project
MC magic circle, SC single crochet, CH chain, SS slip stitch, DC double crochet
Notes:The pattern is simply 5 x large granny squares in a line then joined together at the bottom corner. * The following pattern has US instructions.
* Stitches marked in parentheses are in the same stitch
Example: (2sc) means 2sc into the same stitch
