This winter beanie hat has been designed with extra length to keep your ears warm.
A fun swirl design and optional pom pom finish. Suitable for adults 22 - 23" head size circumference, stretch design. UK, 3 ply dk yarn, 100g Purple, I used ‘Cygnet DK’ yarn, US Alternative is Red Heart Bella, or soft range or similar Hook used: 4mm, G/6hook Other supplies needed: Stitch markers (SM), darning needle, optional: pom pom maker Stitches used in this project ss, sc, Psc, dc, hdc Tension: 21 stitches x 13 rows in hdc = 10cm square Size: Teen/Adult size, large slouch 22 - 23” Head circumference $2 approximately (£1.60)

Notes: The following pattern is in US instructions
Stitches marked in parentheses are in the same stitch Example: (2tr) means 2tr into the same stitch
Psc: Picot single crochet Insert hook, yo, draw loop through, (yo, draw through 1 loop) 3 times to make ch3, yo, draw through both loops on hook. Note: draw picot chain loops
R1: ch26, turn
R2: 25hdc starting from the second chain from the hook, turn [25]
R3 to R66: BLO throughout (ch2, 1hdc), 23hdc, 1hdc into both back and front loops of last stitch, turn [25] repeat row
R67: To join closed, ss along both R1 and R66, Use FLO in R1 and BLO in R66, (Tip if it does not line up at the end simply skip a stitch in R66 and go to the next stitch to join) Place SM into this round for guidance in the other rounds.
R68: Working around the hat, ch1, 3sc into two rounds, For example R65 to R66 with have 3sc, 1sc in each round and 1sc between, (2sc). * 3sc, (2sc) * repeat till end. [120] This is a very fiddly stage so placing a stitch marker at the start may help if you need to restart the round. R69: BLO throughout * 4sc, 1Psc * repeat till end, 1sc, [24Psc]

Rainbow headband pdf crochet pattern

Pattern details:
This crochet pattern is made using 4mm G/6 hook
3 ply dk yarn, 30g Pink,
10g each rainbow color, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple,
I used ‘So Crafty’ DK yarn by Aldi for the main pink,
Rainbow was in Quality DK brand.
US alternative: Red heart Lisa or similar

This design has a flat top with frilly brim edge.

MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROJECT:
110g DK yarn, this is for the large size
G/6, 4mm crochet hook,
Stitch markers (SM), darning needle,
STITCHES USED IN THIS PROJECT:
MC magic circle, SC single crochet, CH chain, SS slip stitch, DC double crochet
RdcB: Raised double crochet back post,
STEP ONE: Yarn over
STEP TWO: Insert the hook on the right side of the previous rounds stitch from back to front
STEP THREE: Push hook front to back into left side of previous rounds stitch.
STEP FOUR: Yarn over, pull around the stitch and draw up a loop. (3 loops on hook)
STEP FIVE: Yarn over and draw through two loops, yarn over and draw through last two loops.

R87: To finish off To close the top, turn hat inside out, Start at the seam, With a double thread of yarn and a long yarn needle weave in and out of every second stitch in previous round, or running stitch. Tighten both ends together and tie a secure knot. DO Not cut off ends if you are adding a pom pom. Pull through ends to the correct side and use to secure your pom pom in place. Or use the tassel from the pom pom to secure to the hat.
